Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Accounts Representative to join our exceptional Dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient accounts, ensuring accurate billing, and providing exceptional service to our patients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization while ensuring that patients have a positive experience with their billing inquiries. The role will also include delivering accurate treatment plans and reviewing financing options.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient accounts by verifying insurance information and processing claims accurately.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account status in a timely and professional manner.
- Review and resolve discrepancies in billing statements and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for claims processing.
- Assist patients with payment plans and financial assistance options as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Delivering treatment plans and financing options
- Prepare reports on account status and outstanding balances for management review.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Dental administration or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in dental billing, coding, or patient accounts management preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes is highly desirable.
- Eaglesoft training preferred.
