We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Summer Camp Assistant to support SouthLake Christian Academy’s summer program for students in Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children of all ages and is committed to fostering a positive, faith-centered environment.
Schedule:
- Seasonal, temporary assignment during the summer only
- Reports to the Director of Afterschool and Enrichment Programs
- Approximately 25 hours per week
- Flexible schedule; hours may vary based on program needs
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist lead teachers and staff with daily camp activities for students across multiple age groups.
2. Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
3. Help set up, organize, and clean up activities, classrooms, and common areas.
4. Encourage positive behavior and model Christ-like attitudes and actions.
5. Assist with the facilitation of transitions, snack/lunch times, and special events or field days.
6. Assist Director will day-to-day operational duties, to include, but not limited to: roster management, registration platform management, parent communication, camp leader liaison, and on-site coordinator for camp leaders and campers in Director absence.
7. Give evidence of a Biblical worldview and a personal spiritual commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
8. Be committed to and in agreement with the philosophy and objectives of SouthLake Christian Academy.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or youth
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, flexible, and positive attitude
- Ability to interact with JK12th grade students
- Commitment to supporting a Christian educational environment

- Must be able to handle confidential information and act with discretion
- Must be able to handle emergencies and stressful situations
