We are seeking an energetic and compassionate School Age Child Care Counselor to join our team! In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and positive environment for children during after-school hours, school breaks, and summer programs. Your enthusiasm will help children develop new skills, build friendships, and enjoy enriching activities that promote their overall well-being. Responsibilities

Before Care Counselors
Hours: 6:30am-9:00am
After Care Counselors
Hours:
2:15pm - 6:00pm or 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Flexible workdays!
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Have previous experience working with children
- Responsible for developing a positive relationship and projecting a positive attitude while interacting with staff, children, parents, and YMCA supervisors
- Responsible and accountable for effectively planning, supervising and leading activities for school age children
- Serve as role model for the children as well as staff
- Able to be certified in CT Childcare, Adult & Child CPR, administering medication and Epi-pen, and attain certification within 90 days of employment
Site Coordinators
$19.72 an hour
Hours: 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Flexible work days!
- Must be 20 years or older
- Qualified Candidate must be certified or working on a CT DPH Head Teacher’s Certification
- Possess or be in the process of obtaining a 4-year degree
- Have previous experience working with children
- Works effectively with children, families and other staff
