STTs Telecommunications Field Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of field crews, ensuring that telecommunication construction, installation, and maintenance projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to required specifications. This critical role necessitates frequent travel to project sites, vendor facilities, and client locations across diverse regions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Execution
- Supervise and coordinate multi-site field crews and operations.
- Ensure projects are completed in strict adherence to engineering plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and crew assignments to consistently meet production objectives.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress, workmanship quality, and compliance with company and client expectations.
Team Leadership & Development
- Implement training and mentorship programs for field contractor crews.
- Provide expert, on-site guidance and decisive problem-solving for technical and logistical challenges.
- Ensure all field personnel strictly adhere to corporate policies, safety standards, and operational best practices.
Client & Contractor Communication
- Act as the primary liaison for all client and customer communication.
- Represent the company during mandatory site visits, performance audits, and progress review meetings.
- Communicate comprehensive project updates, critical issues, and strategic milestones to internal leadership and clients.
Quality Control & Safety Compliance
- Verify that all work meets company quality standards and specific client specifications.
- Organize and conduct mandatory safety meetings, audits, and regular field inspections.
- Review and rigorously enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, official safety manuals, and all local permitting requirements.
Reporting & Documentation
- Monitor and document daily field activity reports, production metrics, and crew performance.
- Maintain meticulous project documentation (e.g., as-builts, redlines, photographs, incident reports).
- Provide regular, comprehensive updates to management detailing project progress, potential risks, and strategic recommendations.
Travel Requirements
- This role operates on a rotational schedule of three weeks on site followed by one week off.
Ideal Background
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications construction or field management.
- Strong technical expertise in OSP/ISP fiber, coax, and wireless infrastructure builds.
- Proven leadership capacity in managing large-scale, complex field operations.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Must possess extensive experience in underground construction
- Penguin data experience a plus but not required
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
