Southern Woodcraft & Design, LLC located in Oxford, NC is seeking a full time Project Coordinator to support production and sales in their Street Sign division. The Project Coordinator supports the production team by performing a range of management and administrative tasks. These tasks include taking responsibility for various critical project requirements, including, take-offs and quoting, communicating with customers, coordination with vendors and business partners, documentation and reporting, and establishing standard works. All projects within the team will require strong organization, detail orientation, and communication skills. The team coordinator works closely with the team leader and interfaces with many different technical and other administrative team members, including the client. The team coordinator is informed of project statuses from inception to closeout and able to update the team on each project during production meetings.
Job Overview and Responsibilities:
The project coordinator at Southern Woodcraft & Design, LLC, would primarily be responsible for communication between leadership and production teams on the various street sign projects throughout each project stage. They will need to understand all of the details of the project stages, this includes the following:
- Ability to interpret site maps and produce take-offs and quotes for customers.
- Understand the components used and vendors needed for each product.
- Work with business partners to ensure proper policies are followed, such as NC811, Post offices, land developers, etc.
- Coordinate with customers, team leads, and production team for installation and scheduling.
- Planning and organization of multiple projects with differing timelines to ensure timely completion and operational efficiency utilizing reporting tools such as Smartsheet/Excel.
Additionally, there will be project management responsibilities, this may involve the creation of job manuals, establishing standard works for each town/municipality, and generating bills of material.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Valid NC Drivers License Required
- Excellent organization, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Flexibility to work with a variety of team members and dynamic project demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with peers.
- Computer literate and a proficient knowledge of Microsoft office
- Experience in project management, construction or land development is strongly preferred, but is not required.
- Management experience is preferred for future opportunities and to support the growth of the company.
