Southern Will County Cooperative for Special Education (SOWIC) serves ten school districts, supporting approximately 2,240 students with disabilities. SOWIC provides a wide range of special education programs and services, either directly in district buildings, through the Cooperative, or in private facilities. Collaborating districts employ cross-categorical staff or leverage the dedicated team employed by SOWIC to meet the diverse needs of their students.
Role Description
This is a full-time onsite role for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) located in Channahon, IL. The BCBA will be responsible for implementing and overseeing behavior analysis programs, conducting assessments, providing parent education, and formulating behavior intervention plans. The role also includes ongoing monitoring, staff training, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective behavior management and support for students.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Knowledge in Parent Education and experience collaborating with families
- Strong background in Psychology and its application in educational settings
- Skills in Behavior Management and developing effective intervention strategies
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Experience in a school or special education setting is highly preferred
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
