What are the responsibilities and job description for the WordPress Developer position at Southern View Media?
This position is for our office located in Daphne, Alabama.

We are looking for a Wordpress Developer who will be an integral part of the Southern View Crew. You’ll work under our Assistant Director of Development to develop and maintain/update websites as well as assist with our ongoing SEO efforts.
Duties:
- Develop websites and landing pages using approved xd files from designers as assigned
- identify user and system requirements for new websites and applications as assigned
- Run functionality testings and debug code
- Oversee junior web developers and evaluate their performance
- Ensure our software documentation is up-to-date
- Collaborate with mobile developers to build mobile-responsive websites
- Help with SEO process as assigned
- Help with website checks as assigned
- Perform website backups as assigned
- Manage website changes as assigned
- Create manual reports as assigned
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year experience in Wordpress development
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap
- Familiarity with responsive web design principles
- Knowledge of web server configuration and optimization
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Hostgator, etc.
- Experience with GraphQL or other API query languages is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
