Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Wildlife Resource Division Head, is responsible for the overall management and conservation of the Tribal Bison Herd. This position is a grade N13; pay is $28.60/hour.
Education And Experience
Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have 2 years of experience in livestock and/or bison management to include livestock handling, nutrition, vaccination, breeding, calving, and transporting.
Must have working knowledge of irrigation techniques including gated pipe, wheel line sprinklers, and center pivot sprinkler systems and farmland management principles.
Must have working knowledge with farm equipment operation, including tractors, tractor attachments, harvesters, balers, etc.
Must have general computer knowledge in programs such as Word and Excel.
Must have a valid Driver’s License for state of residency and be insurable under the Tribal vehicle insurance policy.
Must pass a thorough criminal history background check and pre-employment drug test.
