Director / Senior Manager, Onshore Geoscience
We’re seeking an experienced geoscience leader to guide onshore exploration, development, and production activities across operated and non-operated assets. This role provides technical leadership, mentors a team of geoscientists and technicians, and partners closely with land, engineering, and executive leadership to support sound, data-driven business decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of geoscientists and technical staff
- Oversee geoscience input for operated and non-operated onshore projects
- Support new ventures and opportunity evaluations
- Provide hands-on technical expertise for key projects as needed
- Collaborate across geology, engineering, and land to align subsurface insights with business strategy
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to executive management
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Geology with 15 years of progressive onshore U.S. unconventional oil & gas experience or
- Bachelor’s degree with 18 years of equivalent experience
- Deep expertise evaluating subsurface aspects of unconventional reservoirs
- Strong skills in reservoir characterization, risk assessment, and play evaluation
- Proven ability to prepare and interpret cross sections, structure maps, isopachs, and geologic models
- Experience with industry-standard petroleum geoscience software
- Hands-on support of unconventional drilling operations, including well planning, geosteering, and formation evaluation
- Demonstrated success managing, mentoring, and leading technical teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

- Strong computer-based data management and analytical skills (Windows environment)

- Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy
