The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business at Southern Utah University seeks applicants for a Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Accounting (Non-tenure-track).
This is a permanent, full-time nine-month non-tenure-track position to begin on August 16, 2026. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. Salary and benefits are competitive and are also commensurate with qualifications and experience.
We are looking for applicants with a master's degree in accounting, who will provide excellent teaching and student mentoring, while maintaining scholarly engagement requirements per AACSB standards. Service to the department, school, and university is also expected.

**Essential Functions**
- Provide excellent instruction in graduate and undergraduate courses in accounting, both on-campus and online. Teaching duties may be varied but will likely include courses in accounting principles and managerial accounting. Other accounting courses may be assigned depending on experience and departmental needs. The anticipated teaching load for an academic year is generally 5/5. Summer courses may be available to teach for additional compensation.

- Engage and mentor students in the exploration of career opportunities and job placement in alignment with the mission and vision of the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business and Southern Utah University.

**Education & Experience**
Minimum Qualifications
- Master of Accountancy degree or Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in accounting.
- A current CPA license.
- Applicants must meet the Leavitt School of Business faculty qualification standards for the appropriate AACSB classification.
