Summary

Southern University at Shreveport is establishing a recruitment pool of qualified professionals to teach non-credit courses within the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Department. This posting is for recruitment purposes only and does not guarantee immediate employment.

Selected applicants will deliver high-quality continuing education and professional development courses designed to meet community and workforce demands. All completed online applications will be forwarded to the Executive Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education for review.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver non-credit continuing education and professional development courses.
  • Prepare course outlines, instructional materials, and assessments as applicable.
  • Facilitate engaging, interactive learning experiences for adult learners.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise and instructional quality standards.
  • Comply with institutional policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICIATIONS

  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the proposed area of instruction.
  • Relevant professional experience in the field.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage diverse adult learners.

The ADA does not require the System to take any action that would fundamentally alter the natures of its programs or services or impose an undue financial or administrative burden. Complaints that a program, service, or activity of the System is not accessible to persons with disabilities should be directed to the ADA Coordinator.
