The Senior Accountant will expand the capacity of the accounting team by taking ownership of key workflows across accounts payable, revenue tracking, and general ledger support. You will operate as a hands-on accountant responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial data, resolving day-to-day issues such as vendor payments, and maintaining consistency across core accounting processes.
Success in this role means reducing bottlenecks, improving visibility into both expenses and revenue, and strengthening the reliability of financial reporting. This is an office-based role with broad exposure across the business, supporting both transactional execution and the continued build-out of a more scalable, efficient accounting function.

What You’ll Do
- Review bill coding to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with financial reporting standards
- Manage vendor setup and maintenance, including W-9s, 1099 tracking, ACH information, and payment terms
- Oversee employee credit card program, including reconciliation and compliance
- Resolve vendor payment issues and ensure timely, accurate payment execution while supporting overall AP workflow
- Reconcile vendor statements and ensure completeness of liabilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including ticket-to-GL validation
- Calculate and support expense and revenue accruals with accuracy and timeliness
- Track and validate revenue across districts, including cross-district work and crane-level reporting
- Support fixed asset tracking, including additions, disposals, and depreciation alignment
- Assist in maintaining debt schedules, including interest expense and current portion tracking
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved quickly
- Prepare and support financial reporting, including monthly close activities and variance analysis
- Partner with operations and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial accuracy
- Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort
- Support audits, compliance requirements, and documentation standards
What You Need to Succeed
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of accounting experience with exposure to AP, GL, and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience with accounting systems and Excel-based reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workflows with accuracy and consistency
- Strong attention to detail with a bias toward catching and preventing errors
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly on financial matters
Preferred:
- Experience in construction, transportation, or industrial environments
- Exposure to accrual-based accounting and multi-entity or cross-location operations
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting
- CPA or CMA (or progress toward certification)
- Experience improving or building accounting processes
