JOB DESCRIPTION
The receptionist is responsible for providing a friendly and exceptional customer service to
our clients. Client satisfaction is essential to the clinic’s success as a whole. That satisfaction
should also extend internally to co-workers as well as outside vendors, etc. As the
receptionist, all duties will center on client communication and understanding. This
position will need a candidate whom possesses excellent communication skills along with
organization and the ability to multi-task multiple duties while remaining alert and
responsive to clients.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED is required.
Basic employee professionalism: time management, accountability & adaptability
Previous customer/client service experience required, preferably in a veterinary clinic
Computer & Software skills required: Microsoft Applications, E-mail, PIMS, and other
software programs.
Proficient in financial calculations and working a credit card system.
Communication and listening skills.
Maintaining a calm demeanor and the ability to handle conflicts and difficult situations.
Possess a teamwork oriented, positive attitude
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate excellent customer/client service at all times.
Communication with clients face-to-face, text, e-mail, phone, & other applications.
Address client concerns and complaints professionally.
Maintain compassion, empathy, & understanding
Basic office skills: multi-line phone system, restocking, mail (incoming/outgoing),
operating office equipment, scheduling/appointments, organization.
Performing financial transactions; credit card & cash handling. Ability to run all reports.
Understand all clinic policies, along with financial policies
Cleaning/janitorial actions in waiting area/front half of clinic, employee bathroom &
breakroom: Maintain a clean and organized work station & waiting area.
Perform any other duties necessary in relation to the success of the clinic.
