Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Network Engineer role located in Columbia, MS. The Network Engineer will be responsible for implementing, and managing network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. Day to day responsibilities include troubleshooting network-related issues, maintaining network security measures, and supporting the organization’s IT operations to ensure a seamless network environment. The role requires technical expertise and a proactive approach to resolving network challenges and implementing robust solutions.
Qualifications
Experience with enterprise firewall platforms and network security concepts
Working knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP)
Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and multi-site network environments
Experience with VPN configuration and troubleshooting
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
All experience levels will be considered — demonstrated ability and a willingness to learn are valued over credentials alone
Preferred but Not Required
Cisco CCNA or CCNP (or equivalent experience)
Fortinet NSE certification
Experience with cloud-managed networking platforms
Familiarity with datacenter switching and network automation concepts
