What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multi-Age Math & Science Teacher position at Southern Tier Catholic School?
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics and Science to upper elementary, middle school, and early high school students in small, multi-age classroom settings.
- Provide additional instructional support and responsibilities based on individual strengths, interests, and school needs.
- Plan engaging, standards-based lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and technology to support student success.
- Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to support student growth and create enriching learning experiences.
- Foster a positive classroom environment where students are known, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Communicate effectively with parents, administration, and colleagues.
- Support the mission and values of the school.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience in Mathematics and Science.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-age classroom environment.
- Strong relationship-building and classroom management skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
- Appreciation for and support of the mission of a Catholic school (Catholic affiliation is not required).
Pay: $35,000.00 per year
