Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with behavioral health needs, specifically those diagnosed with autism. Duties:
- Implement behavior management techniques and strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one behavioral therapy to children with autism
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social skills, communication skills, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Collect data on client progress and behavior for analysis
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to evaluate client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client sessions and progress
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times
Skills:
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and techniques
- Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred)
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred, but not required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
