Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform mowing, edging, trimming, and landscape installation tasks
- Maintain lawns by mowing, aerating, fertilizing, and applying irrigation systems to ensure healthy growth
- Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning trees and shrubs, and installing garden features
- Use excavators and other construction equipment for hardscape projects such as patios or retaining walls
- Perform snow plowing during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Support tree care activities such as trimming and removal to promote healthy growth and safety standards
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment
- Experience or interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture or gardening
- Ability to operate machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures when handling tools and machinery
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care practices, or hardscape installation is desirable but not mandatory
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping and construction
