JOB SUMMARY
Wash, dry, fold, organize, and distribute hotel linens and laundry while maintaining cleanliness, efficiency, and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
· Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items in accordance with hotel standards
· Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, and ironing/folding machines
· Sort linens and clothing by type, color, and cleaning requirements
· Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues to the supervisor
· Maintain appropriate inventory levels of linens and laundry supplies
· Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
· Attend required meetings
· Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
· Report unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to your supervisor immediately
· Maintain hotel equipment in proper working condition
· Assist other departments with linen or laundry needs as requested
· Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor
Physical Requirements
· Standing/Walking: Frequently. Standing up to 8 hours a day while cleaning laundry.
· Crouching (Bend at knees): Frequently. While cleaning laundry.
· Stooping (Bend at waist): Frequently. While cleaning laundry.
· Twisting (Knees/waist/Neck): Frequently. Loading and unloading linen.
· Climbing: Occasionally. Climbing to the top shelves in linen rooms.
· Reaching (Overhead/extension): Frequently. Linen shelves
· Handling/Grasping: Frequently. Handling linen, trash, and guest cleaning supplies.
· Pushing/Pulling: Average weight frequently 50 lbs.
· Lifting/Carrying: Average weight frequently 20 lbs.
Working Environment
· Interior: To include laundry room and areas, meeting space, storage closets, guestrooms occasionally; variety of surfaces/ textures.
· Exterior: Exposure to variety of elements based on weather conditions (heat/cold/rain/wind/ice)
Qualifications:BASICS
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
· Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
· Report any unsafe conditions immediately
· Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition
· Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

· Hotel Operations or Customer Service preferred
· Communicate effectively with others

· Effective multitasking skills
· Composure and patience under pressure
· Skilled in working with multiple computer programs- Must be comfortable using devices to communicate with team members and to complete checklists daily (i.e. Alice system.)
