Duties
- Greet prospective tenants professionally, conduct property tours, and showcase rental units to highlight features and benefits.
- Manage lease or rental agreement documentation accurately using property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite.
- Process applications, verify tenant information, and perform background checks in accordance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
- Coordinate with legal administrative teams to ensure lease contracts are compliant and properly executed.
- Handle client communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions with excellent etiquette, providing timely updates and resolving inquiries effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of leasing activities, data entry, filing, and client interactions to ensure seamless operational flow.
- Assist in upselling additional property services or amenities to prospective tenants to maximize occupancy rates and revenue.
Experience
- Prior experience in property leasing or property management is highly preferred, especially within a property management company environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 housing programs.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to negotiate lease terms effectively while maintaining positive relationships.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks including contracts, budgeting, facilities management, and customer service in a fast-paced office setting.
- Experience with real estate administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and office procedures.
