Summary
The Staff Accountant supports day to day accounting operations by ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely completion of close processes across multiple entities. Responsibilities include cash reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, treasury monitoring, tax compliance support, and accounts payable processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute weekly and monthly cash reconciliations including bank reconciliations and daily cash receipt postings
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policy
- Prepare monthly accruals and maintain the fixed asset subledger
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations with audit ready support
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes
- Monitor daily cash balances and liquidity
- Assist with sales and use tax filings and personal property tax compliance
- Process vendor invoices and perform vendor statement reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to upholding PartnerCare’s CARE values
PREFERRED
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Based in or local to the Tampa, FL area
