About the Role:
The Laborer position at Southern Specialties Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the production operations by performing a variety of physical tasks that contribute to the overall productivity of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment from 35º F to 50º F depending on the product we are repacking.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 Ibs. by the waistline and 35 lbs. to shoulder height and above.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods, lifting, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping.
- Must follow all safety practices when handling different chemicals to clean and/or sanitize coolers, equipment, floors, walls, etc.
- Ability to take directions and work as a team.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include physical stamina and strength, which are essential for performing the demanding tasks. Attention to detail is crucial and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately. Teamwork and communication skills are necessary for collaborating effectively with other laborers and supervisors.
