Job Overview
Southern Soil Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable CDL-A Vacuum Truck Driver to join our team.
We are looking for a safety-minded professional with a strong work ethic and a minimum of 2 years of verifiable vacuum truck, water hauling, saltwater hauling, or related oilfield/environmental hauling experience.
This is primarily a Monday–Friday daytime position, with occasional weekend work as needed. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including a matching 401(k), health insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick time, and profit sharing.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate vacuum trucks and trailers to haul water and other approved materials
- Load and unload materials at oilfield, industrial, environmental, production, and job-site locations
- Operate vacuum equipment and safely connect and disconnect hoses
- Assist with fluid transfers, spill response, and other field operations as needed
- Follow dispatch instructions and complete assigned jobs safely and efficiently
- Complete accurate tickets, logs, manifests, and electronic documentation
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain communication with dispatch, supervisors, and customers
- Follow all company, DOT, environmental, and job-site safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and professional truck and work area
- Work safely in outdoor and industrial environments and changing weather conditions
- Represent Southern Soil Environmental Inc. in a professional manner at all times
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Tanker Endorsement required
- HazMat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable vacuum truck, water hauling, saltwater hauling, or related oilfield/environmental hauling experience
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Current DOT medical card
- Must meet all applicable DOT/FMCSA requirements
- Must be dependable and report to work fit for duty
- Ability to lift approximately 50–75 lbs and safely handle hoses and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a field team
- Ability to work occasional weekends as needed
