Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality components and assemblies by utilizing a variety of welding and fabrication techniques. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet strict safety standards, adhere to technical specifications, and are completed efficiently. Responsibilities
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately guide welding and assembly processes.
- Perform welding using various methods including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), mainly on aluminum.
- Measure, mark, cut, and shape sheet metal and other metal materials using power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and hand tools.
- Fabricate metal components by welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and assembling parts with precision.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math skills, and other measuring devices to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures during fabrication activities on construction sites or in the shop.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction site fabrication activities and metalworking processes.
- Must have a min of 3 years fabricating and experience with aluminum
- Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG and gas metal arc welding.
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, ASME codes & standards, and mechanical blueprints for accurate fabrication.
- Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math calculations, and other measuring tools for precise work.
- Mechanical knowledge of assembly processes and the ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and understanding of metal materials used in construction projects.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret mechanical blueprints for fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with plasma cutting, machining operations, welding safety protocols, and fabrication shop procedures.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices along with adherence to OSHA regulations or equivalent safety standards.
