The Car Wash Team Lead / Supervisor is responsible for supporting team members and providing excellent customer service. This role includes ensuring vehicles are properly prepared for automated washing, monitoring the wash process, and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the property.
In addition to standard attendant duties, this position serves as the on-site leader when management is not present guiding the team, addressing issues, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and guide them through the car wash process, explaining available service options
- Assist customers with positioning their vehicles correctly for automatic washing
- Monitor the automatic car wash system to ensure it operates smoothly and efficiently
- Conduct pre-wash and post-wash inspections to verify that vehicles are cleaned to satisfaction
- Address any issues or malfunctions with the automatic car wash equipment and report them as needed
- Inspect vehicles for any prior damage before entering the car wash
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the car wash area, including equipment and surrounding spaces
- Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed to protect customers and staff
- Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on car wash equipment, including replenishing soap and water supplies
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Act as the team lead on shift, ensuring daily operations run smoothly in the absence of management
- Support, guide, and motivate team members to deliver high-quality service
- Lead by example in customer service, work ethic, and professionalism
- Address and de-escalate customer concerns or issues as they arise
- Provide direction to team members during busy periods to maintain efficiency and flow
- Ensure team members are following procedures, safety protocols, and company standards
- Communicate any operational or team concerns to management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous leadership or team lead experience required
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to take initiative and step into a leadership role as needed
- Basic mechanical skills and a willingness to perform minor maintenance tasks
- Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality customer service
- Reliable, responsible, and solution-oriented
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Working Conditions:
