Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and deliver survey projects across municipal, transportation, public works, and private development sectors.
- Perform advanced survey calculations and data analysis to produce maps, plats, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and right-of-way documents.
- Research deeds, land titles, records, and historical data to support boundary and property determination.
- Oversee and review field notes, daily logs, deliverables, and QC documentation from field crews and survey staff.
- Prepare and review legal descriptions, survey reports, and technical exhibits.
- Plan, schedule, and estimate project tasks; assist with proposals and client coordination.
- Ensure all survey products meet QA/QC requirements before PSM review and final delivery.
- Train, mentor, and guide survey analysts, CAD technicians, and junior team members.
- Provide client-facing communication, resolve project issues, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- 10 years of professional land surveying experience; strong knowledge of survey principles and practices.
- PSM license in Florida, or the ability to obtain within 6 months (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience with FDOT, Public Works, and Site Development survey deliverables.
- Proficiency with industry software such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, GeoPak, Carlson Survey, Trimble Business Center, or Pix4D.
- Minimum 3 years of CAD experience and strong mapping/ drafting capabilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize shifting workloads, and respond to evolving project needs.
- Proficient with field equipment, field operations, and standard survey procedures.
