Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Roofing Material Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of roofing materials and established familiarity with local roofing vendors, suppliers, and supply houses. This position is responsible for coordinating material orders, managing deliveries, maintaining inventory, and ensuring materials arrive at job sites on time to keep projects running efficiently. THIS IS A FULL TIME, IN-HOUSE POSITION ONLY.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate roofing material orders for residential and commercial roofing projects.
- Must know local roofing vendors, material suppliers, and supply houses and have established relationships with them.
- Obtain pricing, request quotes, and coordinate purchases with local suppliers.
- Schedule, track, and confirm material deliveries to job sites.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, project managers, and field crews.
- Verify material quantities, orders, and delivery accuracy.
- Monitor inventory and maintain accurate material records.
- Resolve material shortages, incorrect orders, and delivery delays.
- Ensure all materials are available according to project schedules.
- Maintain organized purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
- Assist with cost control and sourcing materials at competitive prices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in roofing material coordination, construction purchasing, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of local roofing vendors, supply houses, and building material distributors is required.
- Familiarity with roofing materials, including shingles, underlayment, metal roofing, tiles, flat roofing systems, and related supplies.
- Established vendor relationships and the ability to source materials quickly and efficiently.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, JobNimbus and purchasing or inventory software preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
