Position Overview:
We’re looking for a reliable Groundsman to join our growing team. This position is key to supporting daily operations on tree service jobs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, operating equipment, and helping the crew get the job done safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily tree removal and trimming operations
- Operate chainsaws and other hand tools safely and effectively
- Set up and manage rigging and ropes for tree work
- Operate equipment such as chippers, loaders, and skid steers
- Drive trucks, pull trailers, and haul debris to dump sites
- Maintain clean and safe work zones
- Communicate clearly with the crew and crew lead
- Perform routine maintenance checks on tools and equipment
Qualifications:
- Experience with chainsaws and rigging methods required
- Basic equipment operating experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
- Strong communication skills and team attitude
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work outdoors in all conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
