Your Purpose  

Provide equipment, refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, repair and support to assigned service calls and/or specific stores/areas. Assist with the development of technicians’ Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

What You’ll do

Principal Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance to building systems.
  • Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned.
  • Perform various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures to buildings and equipment.
  • Performs compressor, large motor and component replacement.
  • Perform leak checks and refrigerant management.
  • Perform repairs to systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
  • Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely.
  • Clean and maintain company service vehicles, if one is assigned.
  • Orally communicate with store personnel regarding the proper use of equipment as it relates to repeat calls and overtime. 
  • Utilize company email and to send and receive messages.
  • Properly complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize company work order system for assignments and track time.
  • Properly complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Audit and inventory registered store equipment identification lists.
  • Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested.
  • Provide feedback to management on performance reviews.
  • Coach, mentor and train other technicians.
  • Provide input to supervisor and management towards maintenance best practices.
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize company work order system for assignments and track time.
  • Expert reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.

What You Bring

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years Refrigeration/HVAC/ Electrical Technical School training or 6 years’ proven refrigeration/HVAC experience and satisfactory overall performance 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary
  • Ability to use and instruct others in the use of control manufacturer software including but not limited to programing troubleshooting and installing.
    Experience setting up control systems.
  • Experience in workflow and process improvements.
  • Demonstrated mentoring and training experience.

Licenses and Certificates:

  • Valid Drivers License
  • EPA Refrigerant – Universal – Certificate required

Preferred

  • Advanced technical training or related technical certifications preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and sit. Must have a high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, sitting while driving to various stores, lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside the store.
