Regional Efficiency Operations Manager Description
The Regional Efficiency Operations Manager helps manage the execution of Branch Moves, Acquisitions, and New Store openings.
Essential Functions
- Provide extraordinary service, “Service Way Service” at all times
- Analyze, report, and explain to the Regional Manager the efficiency and dependability of all the region’s operating systems (AR, AP, Sales, Inventory Control, PO, Warehouse Transfers, and Non-Stock inventory). Help with the branch process of managing and clean-up of these functions.
- Evaluate, report on, and assist in the training of family members and Branch Managers on the implementation of best operating processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure the operations of the regions’ branches are in accordance with Southern Pipe and Supply's core values, mission statement, and policies.
- Help Branch Managers with understanding of all reports and how they relate to operational efficiencies.
- Provide analysis and assistance with branches' local distribution/delivery practices.
- Provide analysis, recommendations, and assistance to facilities within the region to help them achieve the branch's financial goals. Help branches understand cause and effect to GL’s and financial reports. Take prompt corrective action as needed.
- Promote clear communication with Branch Managers and family members.
- Help develop and implement plans to ensure accurate inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Regionally identify and re-allocate underutilized Inventory and unused warehouse assets (racking, material handling equipment, and vehicles).
- Set and clearly communicate accountability parameters to all family members as it relates to operations of the branch.
- Help facilitate branch inventory assessments.
- Promote equal opportunity employment practices and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist in Training Family members on ERP system(s) and Operations.
- Help ensure each branch and family member follow safety, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
- Help Regional Management operate branches as need be or as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operational Efficiency and Regional Managers.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Competence in ERP systems.
- Ability to travel inside of assigned region up to 75% of time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Friendly customer-service attitude and ability to interact with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented required.
- Ability to read, speak, understand, and write English.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed written information (computer reports, material, customer specifications, etc.) and locate and identify part numbers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands
- Moderate mobility.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours periodically.
