Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts, to move, load, unload, and organize inventory within our distribution center. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift types such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments.
- Manage inventory by accurately picking orders using barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for storage or dispatch while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow OSHA and warehouse safety protocols diligently during all manual handling and heavy lifting tasks.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve inventory accuracy, and uphold safety standards in all operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating warehouse material handling equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (Lift truck), Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory levels.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving procedures and materials handling best practices.
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or order picker roles is a plus but not required.
