Piano Teacher – Part-Time
Southern Oregon School of Music is hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Piano Teacher to join our teaching team.

More than being a teacher, though, you're going to be a mentor. We want our teachers to be someone the students look up to. We're teaching music lessons every week, but it's more than that. Sometimes it's about checking in on how the student's week went — how's school going, how's soccer going? Then we dive into learning music together and build a relationship along the way.
We have several recitals each year, giving our students the chance to play music in a variety of venues and styles. We want to give our students frequent opportunities for wonderful experiences performing for friends and family — and to feel proud of how far they've come.

Job Type: Part-time, hourly
Schedule: Flexible based on availability and enrollment. Availability for teaching Mon–Fri 1–6 or 7 PM is important, as most homeschool students come to lessons after lunch and others come to lessons after school.

Pay Range: $26–$30 per hour, based on experience and education
Strong Candidates will have:
- Significant number of years of formal piano training
- Demonstrated ability to play late intermediate / advanced repertoire
- Experience working with children preferred
- Friendly, dependable, and professional communication skills
