RESPONSIBILITY:
● Adheres to all established policies and procedures in the collection and/or processing of specimens.
● Demonstrates proficiency in the handling and processing of specimens.
● Demonstrates proficiency in all laboratory computer related tasks associated with processing and/or phlebotomy.
● Exhibits an understanding of how the processing/phlebotomy areas contribute to the overall functioning of the laboratory.
● Maintains good communication with team leaders, coworkers and customers. Respects patient confidentiality.
● Exhibits excellent customer relations in dealings with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
● Understands and participates in laboratory QA plan, safety policies, and infection control plan.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
● High energy, excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, and demonstrated self-directed work ethic are required.
● High school diploma or equivalent, as well as Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
● 6 months to 1-year recent phlebotomy experience in a high patient volume environment is required as well as excellent phlebotomy skills
● EMR experience preferred
● Excellent listening/interpersonal, and communication skills
● Excellent computer skills
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full Time – 40 hours
Monday-Friday 7:30 to 5 office hours.
Benefits Available
$500 Bonus for any employed candidate that remains active past the 90 days.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
