Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring all steps are performed efficiently and accurately.
- Collect blood samples, perform basic life support (BLS) and CPR when necessary, and handle manual handling tasks with safety and precision.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring all medical documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with privacy standards.
- Conduct health education sessions for patients on topics such as post-operative care, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Report patient conditions clearly to the healthcare team, documenting vital signs, symptoms, and other relevant information for ongoing care.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards; handle medical supplies and equipment with manual handling expertise.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism to enhance patient service experience.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Prior experience in critical care or acute care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and medical documentation standards is essential.
- Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems management and blood sampling techniques.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is mandatory; additional certifications related to plastic surgery or surgery are advantageous.
- Experience working in clinics specializing in surgical procedures or diagnostic radiology enhances your fit for this role.
