The opportunity
The Office Manager will be the operations coordinator for the Campus Accessibility Center, serving University College. You will work with diverse populations and welcome students, families, faculty, staff and outside professionals to the suite and direct them to the appropriate person to meet their needs. You will maintain multiple responsibilities in the office. You will report to the Director Of Campus Accessibility Center #LI-onsite.
What you'll do:
- You will be the greeter for our office suite – answer phone, direct phone calls, take messages, schedule appointment for Accommodation Specialists.
- You will order office supplies for our department, maintain supply closet, furniture, stationery, business cards, subscriptions and other necessary items and maintains follow up on purchases with all vendors.
- You will oversee the hiring and onboarding process and the training for front desk coverage by student workers.
- You will approve hours for Student Workers in Workday and work with the Director when new employees are hired to ensure payroll paperwork is filled out and turned in
- You will manage the professional development of the student workers.
- You will work with assigned Accommodation Specialists to create and schedule usage of accessible van and drivers.
- You will occasionally fill in as an access-van driver for providing campus accessibility for students with mobility impairments.
- You will arrange office environment relative to safety and repairs.
- You will shred confidential information
- You will assist Accessibility Services staff with Banner tasks.
- You will manage Accommodate (3rd party database) scanning, linking and other tasks.
- You will assist the assigned Campus Accessibility Center staff and the assigned student worker with the implementation of the department's Disability Awareness programs.
- You will manage submissions from the public form (through Accommodate) by assigning students to either campus or online Accommodation Specialists.
- You will manage the Test Proctoring system to meet the needs of students with testing accommodations under the ADA. This includes creating a "testing link" before each semester, teaching students the process to reserve rooms, communicating with faculty (for each of the exams), finding proctors for the exams as the exams are taking in rooms throughout the university, receiving the completed exams and making sure that the exams are returned to the faculty.
- You will ensure exam integrity and confidentiality.
- You will maintain procedures and timelines for all responsibilities and ongoing projects.
- You will have access to confidential information
- You will manage the online note taker system, allowing for uploading and downloading of classroom notes.
- You will oversee recognition and event planning for student worker events at the end of each semester..
- You will have other responsibilities as assigned.

- Associates Degree and 2 years of experience in an office setting in an educational environment with student interaction.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and written communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Ability to think critically and creatively troubleshoot.
- Experience providing exceptional customer service.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $20.48 - $32.78. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $22.64 - $30.62.
