About The Job
Assist Radiologists, Surgeons, other physicians, and nursing staff in the execution of minimally invasive studies and minor surgical procedures.
What You’ll Do
- Perform all studies and procedures in Interventional Radiology. Basic understanding of imaging techniques, protocols, and ability to prepare for ancillary equipment setup.
- Monitor procedure in progress, report materials consumed to physician as necessary and document complications as they occur.
- Review pertinent patient medical history, verifying patient ID and reconciling physician requests with exams order, assuring patient consent has been given.
- Assist Radiologist with minimally invasive fluoroscopic procedures as required.
- Prepare and administrator IV, oral and rectal contrast as indicated by protocol.
- Transport and operate c-arms for procedures performed in the operating room.
- Completion of two years of Radiology Technology training in an AMA approved school to meet the requirement for registry by the ARRT or equivalent training required.
- ARRT (R) certification required or acquired.
- State of New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging License required.
- Basic Life Support required.
- A minimum of one to two years of Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
