The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Vital Records Assistant I in the Vital Records Department. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months.

Responsible for providing assistance to the public with acquiring birth certificates, death certificates and other vital records; provides a wide variety of clerical and administrative support duties for the Southern Nevada Health District’s (District) Vital Records department; and performs related duties as assigned.

Vital Records Assistant I:

Training & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of clerical or administrative support work experience.
  • Healthcare, public health, or similar experience is preferred.
 Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, certification as a Nevada Deputy Registrar within ninety (90) days of employment.
  • Some positions may require specialized skills, experience, certification, or other requirements which will be identified by the hiring authority at time of recruitment.
