JOB SUMMARY
The School of Music is seeking a qualified instructor to teach undergraduate students at the university. The qualified candidate will be committed to teaching excellence, innovation, and program development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Teach course(s) assigned to the instructor
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work independently
Required Qualifications:

- An understanding of the importance for diversity, inclusion and equity
- Master’s degree in music or at least 18 hours towards a graduate degree in music
- Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training
- An understanding of the importance for diversity, inclusion and equity
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast paced work environment
Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in music
- Experience teaching at the university level
- Evidence of the ability to recruit and retain a quality students
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
Supervision Exercised:
May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
