JOB SUMMARY
Southern Nazarene University is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a graduate assistant for SNU Athletics Communications. The University is a member of the NCAA II Great American Conference. The successful candidate will have mature, growing relationship with Christ and some experience in graphics software, stats software and/or social media promotion. The SNU Athletics Communications Graduate Assistant will assist the SNU Director of Athletics Communications in the promotion/tracking of all sports and student-athletes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Assist the Director of Athletics Communications in providing promotional coverage for the various SNU sports and student-athletes.
- Play an integral role in the day-to-day execution of “Game Day” productions.
- This position must work within SNU, GAC and NCAA guidelines to provide student-athletes with an exceptional collegiate promotional experience.
- Ability to write in story format.
- Social media production.
Required Qualifications:

- College graduate
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast-paced work environment
- Typing and spelling competency
- Experience with various computer software applications
- Data entry experience
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from the Director of Athletics Communications, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
Supervision Exercised:
May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
