Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Operations Supervisor to lead and assist daily operations. In this role, you will oversee various aspects of manufacturing operations. This position offers an opportunity for a motivated individual to grow with a company.
Duties
- Supervise daily production operations to meet quality, safety, and production goals.
- Schedule and oversee production crews, equipment operators, and yard personnel.
- Coordinate the receipt, processing, blending, screening, coloring, and packaging of mulch and soil products.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and specifications before shipment.
- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, finished products, and packaging supplies.
- Conduct daily inspections of production equipment, conveyors, grinders, trommel screens, loaders, and coloring systems.
- Schedule preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Enforce all OSHA, environmental, and company safety policies and conduct regular safety meetings.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, equipment failures, and production bottlenecks.
- Implement process improvements to increase production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product consistency.
- Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and management to forecast production needs and inventory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for daily production operations and communicate operational updates to management.
