ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Upholstery Line Supply is responsible for ensuring continuous material flow to the upholstery production line by delivering, staging, and organizing all required components and supplies. This role directly supports production efficiency, quality, and safety by maintaining accurate inventory levels, reducing downtime, and coordinating with supervisors, warehouse, and production staff.
Supply raw materials to Upholstery lines according to production schedule. Also ensuring other supplies are readily available to operators to complete their operation.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must learn to read and understand daily production schedule in order to accurately supply daily requirements.
- From production schedule, learn cover numbers to identify different raw materials for respective styles.
- Must write up any recuts and return them to operator when completed.
- Deliver and stage upholstery materials (frames, foam, fabric, hardware, etc.) to production workstations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor material usage on the line and proactively replenish to prevent shortages or delays.
- Work closely with production leads and supervisors to understand daily build schedules and material requirements.
- Ensure all supplies are stored and staged in an organized, safe, and ergonomic manner.
- Communicate supply issues, shortages, or quality concerns to the appropriate departments.
· Assist with basic material handling equipment (carts, pallet jacks).
Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline material flow, reduce waste, and improve line efficiency.- Follow all safety and quality standards in handling and delivering materials.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Self-monitor production throughout the day to maintain required level of production.
- Communicates with supervisor and lead person as needed on questions or problems that occur while performing job.
- Maintain clean and organized workstation.
- Assist others when necessary
