ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must have knowledge of how to perform all duties and responsibilities of the filling operations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the necessary equipment is provided to filling operators to perform job tasks.
- Monitor production throughout the day to maintain required level of production.
- Train employees in accordance to Southern Motion's production and quality standards.
- Assists filling operators in retrieving raw materials needed to complete the daily production schedule.
- Ensures total quality is built into every filled piece to be assembled on the upholstery line and used in every step.
- Communicates with cell manager as needed on questions or problems that occur while performing job.
- Works closely with and promotes a team concept among all employees in the department on a daily basis.
- Inspects cover, and sewn parts while filling to insure proper quality standards are used in other departments.
- Helps line operators complete the daily work schedule in the absence of employees.
- Promotes and ensures that line operators maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist others when necessary.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
