Southern Maryland Floor Co. is seeking an experienced Flooring Project Manager to join our growing team. With over 50 years in business, we are a well-established flooring contractor specializing in both commercial and residential projects. We install a wide range of flooring systems including Hardwood, LVP, LVT, Laminate, Carpet, Carpet Tile, VCT, Sheet Vinyl, Tile, Rubber Flooring, Epoxy, and more. This role offers the opportunity to manage diverse projects from preconstruction through completion.
Position Overview:
The Flooring Project Manager will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and managing flooring projects from award to closeout. This position plays a key role in coordinating with clients, general contractors, vendors, and internal field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for residential and commercial flooring projects
- Review plans and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, and assess project requirements
- Manage awarded projects, including scheduling, material procurement, and coordination with field crews
- Communicate with clients, general contractors, suppliers, and internal team members
- Track project costs, change orders, and progress billing
- Ensure quality control and adherence to industry standards and company expectations
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in flooring estimating and/or project management
- Experience with both commercial and residential flooring projects
- Strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation methods, and industry standards
- Ability to read plans, perform takeoffs, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Professional, motivated, and detail-oriented work ethic
