Southern Maine Refrigeration, a family-owned and operated business, is looking for a skilled HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC and commercial refrigeration systems. This role involves performing installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on various HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues and ensure systems are operating efficiently.
- Document service calls and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC systems.
- Perform emergency repairs and system cleanings promptly and efficiently.
Experience
- 5 years proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in field service
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- EPA Refrigerant Handling Certificate and Maine Gas License are required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of hydronic heating systems and boilers.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read schematics.
