STARTING SALARY RANGE:  $81,411 – $97,947 commensurate with the agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MSEA Supervisory Unit, Range 30, pending classification.

REPORTS TO: Associate Dean of Administration

DESCRIPTION:

This position manages all aspects of the integrated facility operations and maintenance of a community college on two college campuses in two different municipalities (South Portland and Brunswick).  Manage day-to-day operations of college buildings, grounds, and physical assets. Oversee a team of skilled trades, custodians, and groundskeepers to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff. Direct preventative and corrective maintenance, manage departmental budgets, coordinates projects, create department procedures and ensure compliance with safety and environmental codes.

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of state and local building code, ordnances 
  • Training in mechanical and electrical systems
  • Supervisory or management training

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in facilities, operations, project management or related field.  Equivalent experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis. Must poses a valid Maine Drivers licenses.
