Starting Salary Range: $60,602 - $79,073

Responsibilities: The Director manages all aspects of student financial aid, is responsible for federal and state program compliance and reporting; will supervise a team of professional and support staff; will manage the maintenance, upgrade and enhancement of the computerized financial aid module of the Student Information System; and is responsible for working with appropriate offices to facilitate effective strategies that support the College’s retention objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, education or related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of experience in post-secondary financial aid at the managerial level; or related experience.
- Knowledge of and proficiency with computer-based financial aid systems and student information systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in business, finance, education or related field from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Necessary: Understanding of current federal rules and regulations; experience with computerized information systems. Supervisory experience.
- Useful: Experience administering financial aid at an institution with 7,000 students; and preferred community college experience.
- Experience with implementation of new financial aid module and change control process and procedures.
- Abilities to work within a framework of enrollment management, admissions, and recruitment.
- Experience with development of training programs to ensure financial aid team members are current with the required federal, state, and institutional programs.
- Experience with Microsoft products; especially with Excel.
- Complete and ensure compliance with reports to system office, federal and state agencies.
