Job Overview
Southern Kreole Cravings & Pastries is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Cashier/Expo Team Member to join our award-winning food truck and catering team. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately taking orders, handling payments, packaging food orders, and ensuring guests receive a great experience from start to finish.
The ideal candidate is reliable, works well under pressure, enjoys interacting with customers, and thrives in a fast-paced food service environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a positive attitude
- Accurately take food and beverage orders
- Operate Square POS system and handle cash/card transactions
- Package and verify food orders before delivery to customers
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and cooks
- Maintain a clean and organized service area
- Restock supplies, condiments, beverages, and packaging materials
- Assist with food truck setup and breakdown
- Answer customer questions regarding menu items and specials
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with catering and special events as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Dependable with reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, festivals, and special events
- Food Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule: 20–25 hours per week with additional hours available during festivals, catering events, and peak seasons.
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
