Job Summary: Certified nursing assistants, or CNAs, assist nurses and other medical staff by providing direct personal care for patients. A certified nursing assistant, or CNA, works under the supervision of nurses to deliver high quality care to patients. As an integral part of the care team, CNAs assist patients with essential daily activities, including eating, bathing, grooming, mobility, and more. They contribute to ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients under their care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
· High School Diploma or equivalent to (REQUIRED).
· Sate Certified Nursing Assistant Certification. (REQUIRED)
· Current BLS certification preferred.
Experience:
· 2 years of CNA experience preferred.
Other Qualifications Required:
· Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written forms using the English language.
· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from residents, patients, physicians, peers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
· Ability to work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Providing great patient care.
· Answering patient calls and determining how best to help them.
· Providing physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, - using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
· Turning and repositioning bedridden patients.
· Ensuring patients or residents receive an appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
· Obtaining a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities.
· Measuring and recording food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
· Recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.
· Examining patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine.
· Reminding patients to take medications and nutritional supplements.
· Noting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
· Stay up to date on CNA training and facility policy and procedure.
· Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
· Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.
· Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements.
· Enhances nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
