What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Southern Indiana Surgery Center?
Post operative duties: Receiving patient into PACU, assessment, receiving report from anesthesia, managing patients post operative needs as they may arise.
1. Assessment of patient, including airway, breathing, circulation, LOC, pain and surgical site.
2. Monitoring of vital signs.
3. Maintaining airway.
4. Assessing neurological status.
5. Administering of medications and fluids.
6. Preventing complications.
7. Documenting in EMR.
8. Communication with physicians, staff, patient and family.
9. Education of patient and family.
10. Preparing patient for discharge.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
