Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals of all ages. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and educating patients on preventive care and health promotion. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and review of symptoms - Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies - Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections - Prescribe medications and other treatments based on patient needs - Provide counseling and education to patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and self-care techniques - Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans - Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans - Document patient information accurately and maintain electronic medical records Skills: - Proficient in ICD-9 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation - Knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations - Experience in infant care, including well-child visits, immunizations, and developmental screenings - Competent in taking vital signs accurately and interpreting results - Familiarity with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) procedures and protocols - Skilled in medication administration, including dosage calculation and intravenous therapy - Proficient in cardiac catheterization procedures and post-procedure care - Experience using electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner) for documentation and communication purposes - Understanding of behavioral health principles for assessment and management of mental health conditions - Strong case management skills to coordinate care across multiple healthcare settings We offer competitive compensation packages including salary commensurate with experience.
