Job Overview:
We are seeking a Machine Operator with Mechanical Repair Expertise to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine operation and mechanical repair, with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment as needed. This role requires a combination of technical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up machines efficiently for production runs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs to keep machines running smoothly.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines to reduce downtime and ensure long-term machine performance.
- Make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure the production of quality products within specified tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including the machine and surrounding areas.
- Stack boxes on pallets and assist with packing as needed.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as requested by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude with proven experience in machine repair and maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and fix mechanical issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor product quality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and written instructions.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and stay productive while managing various machine-related tasks.
- Ability to adapt and respond to changes in production needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and handle boxes weighing 50-75 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods during the shift.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in machine operation and mechanical repair is preferred.
